Starship is an American 2-stage super-heavy launch vehicle manufactured and developed by the aerospace company SpaceX. This is the most powerful rocket ever launched in history. Until this one was launched, the record was held by the NASA Saturn V rocket. I intend to make an entire rocket reusable from the Starship project.
Starships are intended by SpaceX to expand the star link satellite system and carry satellites into low Earth orbit, deep into Earth, and deep into space. It is also expected to replace Falcon 9 and Falcon heavy rockets with Starships and to handle the aircraft as an intermediate fuel provider for long space travel, for example, when taking satellites to the moon, mars, and geostationary orbits. Starship is intended to be used for Artemis 3, a mission to land astronauts on Earth in 2026. Therefore, SpaceX's contract with NASA is also final.
The Starship consists of 2 stages, the super heavy booster, and the Starship. Both stages are powered by Raptor engines. They provide power by burning liquid methane and liquid oxygen. Both these parts are reinforced with stainless steel. The Starship spacecraft is designed to protect itself during re-entry through its thermal protection system. There is also a mechanism that can turn the plane from horizontal to vertical.
SpaceX's goal is to provide space travel at a low cost through Starship. 2 test flights have been conducted here so far. The first round of testing took place on April 20, 2023, and the launch pad's concrete parts were broken due to excessive pressure during the launch. Several engines had stopped working. Successfully passed maxQ twice after launch and flew 2 flights 4 minutes later. Then SpaceX's scientists blew it up. The second test flight took place on November 18, 2023. It was successfully separated from the second stage and SpaceX had to detonate both stages in the air. But this was a big win for SpaceX. They intend to make the third attempt soon.
SpaceX has also been sued by the FAA, an environmental watchdog. Saying that the destruction of the casbah species and their habitats caused by the scattering of the debris over the provided square kilometers will be destroyed by the Starship observations.
